Dave & Louise would like to extend a warm welcome here at the Waggon to all our existing customers but also those looking to venture in and see us.
Since we have been here the first phase of the renovations has almost been completed on the front of house which has undergone a major change from what it was (for those of you that know). It now has a wonderful warm and welcoming feel and takes quite a lot of inspiration from the 1930s, (when it was rebuilt after it burnt down). We felt it only right to bring back the feel to this unique building and have transformed the front bar beautifully, mixing the old with the new and creating an environment perfect for meeting up with family & friends or for that business meeting.
We pride ourselves on now offering not only the widest selection of Keg Beers and Real Ales (inc Duvel, Vedett & Birra Moretti) in the village but also delivering the quality expected.
The second phase of our renovations will see the biggest change for 2013 we are hoping that by July our Steak & Seafood Dining experience that is planned for the back of the Pub will be built. Our garden room will offer something completely different to the Cambridge area.
In addition to the new restaurant we are also planning to upgrade the toilet facilities making provision for those less mobile. We feel that what we offer shouldn't exclude anyone.
Although we have a great secret garden, it is very much that, secret, we love having families in and to accommodate this a play area full of giant kids toys is also being planned, the access to the garden will be very safe as it will be only accessible through the building.
Our bar food is made here at the pub using only the the freshest ingredients, soursed locally, we don't believe that good quality food has to be brought from large factories, and it doesn't have to cost the earth. Have a look at our bar menu to see what we mean.
Fresh Coffee is brewed daily and for £1.95 you can have as many cups as you like, so no need to worry about drinking then driving.
